Dr. Salaheddin Malkawi

Dr. Malkawi is the Deputy Director General of Jordan Nuclear Power Company (JNPC), which is the  newly formed company to be the owner and operator of Jordan’s first Nuclear Power Plant. Before joining JNPC in February 2016, Dr. Malkawi was the Chairman of the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) from April 2008. He was involved in establishing the first and only nuclear engineering department in Jordan. Dr. Malkawi also works as a technical advisor (consultant) to Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) in theareas of the Research Reactors and Human Resource Development. He also worked as the project manager for Jordan Sub-critical Assembly (JSA), which is the first nuclear facility to become operational in Jordan.

Dr. Malkawi has a B. Sc degree in Electronic Engineering and M.Sc and Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering. Dr. Malkawi published widely and participated in many local and international conferences.
