Ahmad has held senior positions with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India , Electronics Corporation of India & World Association of Nuclear Operators-Tokyo.He has also worked for the International Atomic Energy Agency , Atomic Energy of Canada & the Indian Atomic Industrial Forum Ahmad has also provided consultancy to several National & International Consultants &  Businesses.

Ahmad has published a large number of papers and edited,a number of national & international reports and documents. He has travelled and lectured widely internationally.
